TCP
TCP provides reliable connections to end hosts.
The ordering is provided by a sequence number in each packet.
Every TCP message is marked as being from a particular host and
port number, to a destination host and port number.
Hosts “listen” on software ‘ports’ to determine the type of service
needed by the packet.
