Y2K Patent

• Bruce Dickens filed for a patent on a Y2K windowing technique. Essentially it said if the year is less than 30, add 100.

• The patent was applied for Oct. 3, 1996 and was issued as patent #5,806,063 in Sept. 8, 1998.

• Linux had a similar fix in 1991, constituting prior art.
